GP Clear Resin is a clear, orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin developed by Samrat Poly Resins for everyday FRP and composite manufacturing. Supplied as a non-accelerated liquid with a viscosity of 350–450 cPs and a gel time under 8 minutes, it wets out reinforcement quickly and cures at room temperature once catalysed with MEKP and a cobalt octoate accelerator. With a balanced 33–40% styrene content and 99% purity, it delivers consistent, cost-effective performance across hand layup, spray-up, moulding and lamination — a dependable general-purpose polyester resin for a wide range of composite products.
In practice, GP Clear Resin is catalysed with an MEKP hardener and a cobalt accelerator, then reinforced with glass fibre for hand layup and spray-up. Pair it with a gelcoat resin for a durable moulded surface, step up to vinyl ester resin where higher chemical and corrosion resistance is required, or see lamination resin for door-lamination and FRP bonding work.
What is GP Clear Resin?
GP Clear Resin is Samrat Poly Resins’ clear, orthophthalic general-purpose polyester resin for fabricators producing FRP components. It is a liquid resin grade intended to wet out glass-fibre reinforcement in routine composite manufacturing.
It is relevant where a buyer needs a clear GP grade for common hand lay-up, spray-up, moulding and general FRP lamination processes. Where resin colour is relevant, compare it with GP Yellow Resin; the clear resin itself does not define the final appearance of a reinforced, pigmented or surface-finished FRP part.
