GP Yellow Resin is a transparent yellow, orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin from Samrat Poly Resins — a general-purpose structural laminating resin, not a surface coating or a lamination-specialty grade. It shares the same MEKP and cobalt octoate cure system and hand layup / spray-up processing as our GP Clear Resin, but runs thicker (450–600 cPs against GP Clear Resin's 350–450 cPs) with a slightly slower 10–15 minute gel time and 60–90 minute cure. With 34–38% styrene content and 99% purity, it wets out glass fibre reinforcement for a consistent, well-bonded laminate across roofing sheets, water tanks, FRP doors and panels, and general lamination work — a straightforward alternative to GP Clear Resin wherever the resin's own colour is hidden behind a gelcoat, paint or another layer.
GP Yellow Resin is catalysed with an MEKP hardener and cobalt accelerator, then reinforced with glass fibre for hand layup and spray-up — the same process used for our GP Clear Resin. Where the finished part needs to stay colourless, GP Clear Resin is the better choice; where a factory-pigmented grade tuned specifically for sheet and panel production is needed instead, see our Sheet Grade Yellow Resin. Mould-facing surfaces can be finished with a Gelcoat Resin, and projects facing harsher chemical exposure or continuous water immersion should step up to Vinyl Ester Resin instead.
What is GP Yellow Resin?
GP Yellow Resin is Samrat Poly Resins’ published transparent-yellow, orthophthalic unsaturated polyester, general-purpose laminating resin. It is intended for use with glass-fibre reinforcement when building the structural laminate in FRP products.
For buyers, the starting question is whether the supplied yellow colour suits the process and whether the reinforced laminate, pigment or surface layer determines the final appearance. It is not a mould-surface coating or a specialised grade for every requirement; review the published viscosity, gel time, packaging, MOQ and Technical Data Sheet against the actual production process.
