Epoxy Clear Casting Resin is Samrat Poly Resins' two-part epoxy system for casting, river tables, jewellery and decorative artwork — a different resin chemistry entirely from our polyester-based GP Clear Resin, GP Yellow Resin, GP Gelcoat Resin, Vinyl Ester Resin and Lamination Resin, all of which cure with an MEKP and cobalt system rather than a two-part epoxy reaction. Mixed 2:1 by weight (resin:hardener), it reaches an initial, de-mouldable cure in around 24 hours and a full cure in around 72 hours, delivering a crystal-clear, high-gloss finish with low bubble formation. Its 900 cPs viscosity gives moderate self-levelling in a contained mould and supports casting depths up to 30 mm per pour — deeper work such as most river tables is built up in stages rather than poured all at once. Once fully cured it reaches Shore D 82 hardness with under 0.2% shrinkage, and its UV-stabilised formulation is significantly more resistant to yellowing than a standard epoxy, though no clear epoxy is entirely immune to gradual colour change under prolonged UV exposure. Supplied in 20 kg packs, with a minimum order quantity of 100 kg.
Epoxy Clear Casting Resin is mixed 2:1 by weight with a compatible Epoxy Hardener before pouring — accurate weight measurement matters more here than with a polyester resin dosed by catalyst percentage. For a self-levelling grade formulated specifically for floor art and table-top coating rather than deeper casting, see our Epoxy Art Resin. Our polyester-based GP Clear Resin and GP Yellow Resin use an entirely different MEKP/cobalt cure system and are not interchangeable with this epoxy system for FRP structural laminating work.

Epoxy Clear Casting Resin is Samrat Poly Resins’ published two-part epoxy product for transparent cast pieces where optical clarity, a high-gloss finish and the casting role are central to the requirement. It is not a polyester FRP laminate resin, a mould-side gelcoat or a self-levelling coating selected simply by name.
