Bisphenol Resin is a premium-grade Bisphenol A & epichlorohydrin-based thermosetting resin manufactured by Samrat Poly Resins at Doraha, Punjab. Its TDS describes a low-viscosity liquid for laminating, casting, coating and encapsulation, and lists FRP composites, flooring and protective coatings, electrical encapsulation, tooling, structural bonding, and casting or coating as its application contexts. This is a separate specialist thermosetting product route from Samrat's general-purpose UPR and Vinyl Ester Resin grades.

The current product-specific TDS is the technical authority for this Bisphenol Resin grade. The TDS identifies a room-temperature cure with an amine hardener, but this page does not provide ratios or process instructions. Glass Fiber is a separate reinforcement decision for an FRP composite. For a broad general-purpose polyester requirement, review Unsaturated Polyester Resin or GP Clear Resin. Vinyl Ester Resin is a separate product route with its own TDS.

What is Samrat Bisphenol Resin?

The current product-specific TDS identifies a premium-grade Bisphenol A & epichlorohydrin-based thermosetting resin system. It describes a low-viscosity liquid and lists laminating, casting, coating and encapsulation as product contexts. This is the exact TDS terminology used on this page; the document does not identify the product as a general-purpose UPR or as Vinyl Ester Resin.

Use the product-specific TDS for this grade’s chemistry, technical data and supply details. Bisphenol Resin is manufactured by Samrat Poly Resins at Doraha, Punjab, and is a separate product from Fiberglass Epoxy Resin.

Use the current product-specific data

Product-specific TDS

The current TDS publishes this grade’s resin wording, supplied-resin data, packaging, MOQ, shelf life, storage, listed curing system and application contexts.

Separate from Fiberglass Epoxy Resin

Bisphenol Resin (600 cPs, 1.10 g/cm³) and Fiberglass Epoxy Resin (700 cPs, 1.15 g/cm³) are separate products with their own TDS. Choose by the finished application.

Application-led selection

Match the current TDS to the finished application and stated requirement. Bisphenol Resin, UPR, Vinyl Ester Resin and conventional epoxy products remain separate selection routes.

Supplied resin data is not finished component approval

Published supplied-resin data

Use the current TDS for the published resin type, viscosity, gel-time value, density, thermal data, storage, packaging and shelf-life information. The TDS calls these values typical; they are not a guaranteed outcome for every end use.

Finished system remains separate

A finished laminate, coating, casting, electrical assembly or bonded component can depend on the complete system, construction, cure state, substrate or reinforcement and tested configuration. The supplied resin alone does not establish final performance or an application approval.

Separate reinforcement role

For the TDS-listed FRP composite context, Glass Fiber is the separate reinforcement product. This page does not prescribe a mat grade, resin-to-glass ratio, laminate schedule or fabrication method.

Choose the resin route by the documented requirement

These concise selection routes prevent a Bisphenol Resin enquiry from being confused with a broad polyester, a specialist Vinyl Ester, a fire-retardant requirement or a separately documented epoxy product.

Bisphenol Resin

Review this route for the current TDS-listed laminating, casting, coating and encapsulation contexts, using the product-specific TDS before order placement.

UPR or GP Resin

Unsaturated Polyester Resin is the broad category and GP Clear Resin is Samrat’s general-purpose FRP route. The current Bisphenol TDS does not identify this product as UPR.

Separate Vinyl Ester Resin

Vinyl Ester Resin has a separate TDS and specialist industrial FRP route. Use each product’s current TDS and intended application rather than treating the products as interchangeable.

Isophthalic or fire requirement

Samrat’s published isophthalic product route is ISO Fire Retardant Resin. If isophthalic chemistry or a fire requirement is specified, share it and review the separate product data; this Bisphenol page establishes neither.

Separate epoxy-system route

Epoxy Clear Casting Resin is a separate published product route. Although the Bisphenol TDS lists an amine-hardener cure system, it does not establish interchangeability with that product or its decorative-casting role.

Fire-performance requirement

Bisphenol Resin is not presented here as fire retardant. If a project specifies a fire class, rating or test method, share it and review the relevant fire-retardant product route before selection.

Before ordering Bisphenol Resin

Review the current product-specific TDS, then share the intended finished application, any stated chemistry or technical requirement, expected quantity, packaging need, delivery location and required documentation. For a service environment, include the medium, concentration and temperature where relevant; this supports a product discussion without implying a chemical-compatibility recommendation, formulation or finished-system approval.

Frequently asked questions

The current Bisphenol Resin TDS identifies a premium-grade Bisphenol A & epichlorohydrin-based thermosetting resin system. It lists laminating, casting, coating and encapsulation as product contexts. Review the current TDS with the intended application before selecting the grade.

They are separate products, each with its own TDS and SDS (Bisphenol Resin: SPR-TDS-BPR; Fiberglass Epoxy Resin: SPR-TDS-FER). Bisphenol Resin is a premium Bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin based resin at 600 cPs and 1.10 g/cm³, with 80 °C thermal data, for laminating, casting, coating, flooring and encapsulation. Fiberglass Epoxy Resin is a general-purpose epoxy system at 700 cPs and 1.15 g/cm³, with 75 °C thermal data, for fibreglass fabric lamination in marine, wind-turbine, construction, electrical and automotive laminates. Both cure at room temperature with an amine hardener at 2:1 by weight and have a 35–45 minute gel time at 25 °C. See Fiberglass Epoxy Resin.

The current TDS uses the exact wording “Bisphenol A & epichlorohydrin based (thermosetting)”. The page uses that document wording and does not infer a wider product-family identity from the name alone.

The current product-specific TDS does not identify this product as unsaturated polyester resin or Vinyl Ester Resin; it lists styrene content as not applicable. Vinyl Ester Resin is a separate Samrat product with its own TDS and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Laminating and FRP composites are listed in the current TDS. Glass Fiber is a separate reinforcement product; the TDS does not prescribe a mat weight, resin-to-glass ratio or laminate design.

They are separately listed Samrat product routes with their own TDS documents. The current Bisphenol Resin TDS and the separate Vinyl Ester Resin TDS use different product descriptions and values. Select against the exact document, application and stated requirement; neither page treats one as an automatic substitute for the other.

The current TDS lists laminating and FRP composites; industrial flooring and protective coatings; electrical encapsulation, tooling and structural bonding; and high-end casting and coating applications. It does not publish a tank, pipe, marine or chemical-specific approval.

No product-specific chemical-compatibility chart, chemical concentration limit, corrosion-life claim or finished-system approval is published in the current Bisphenol Resin TDS. Share the actual service condition and documentation requirement during enquiry rather than inferring a compatibility recommendation.

The current TDS lists 80°C under thermal data for a fully cured material. It does not publish a continuous service-temperature limit, so this value should not be treated as one.

No fire classification, rating, test result or fire-retardant claim is published for this product. Where a project specifies fire performance, share the exact requirement and review the separate Fire Retardant Resin route instead of assuming this product meets it.

Review the current product-specific TDS, then share the intended application, required technical or service requirement, expected quantity, packaging need, delivery location and documentation requirement. Where relevant, include the service medium, concentration and temperature without assuming a compatibility recommendation.
