GP White Resin is published as general purpose for reinforced FRP manufacture. GP Gelcoat Resin is published as a white, high-gloss polyester surface-coating product. The shared colour language does not make them substitutes.

The first selection question is whether the requirement is for the laminate built with glass-fibre reinforcement, or for the visible mould-facing surface layer. GP White Resin is the product to review for the reinforced laminate; GP Gelcoat Resin is the product to review where the requirement is the mould-facing surface, with its own product data, mould condition, application method and required finish considered separately from the laminate behind it.
