GP Quartz Resin and GP Clear Resin are both polyester-resin products, but their published product roles differ. GP Quartz Resin is the product to review for artificial quartz stone, engineered stone slabs and composite mineral surfaces. GP Clear Resin is the broader general-purpose product to review for common FRP work.
The buying decision should begin with the component being made. A quartz-filled or mineral-filled stone-composite requirement needs a different starting discussion from a reinforced FRP laminate, even when both suppliers use the word 'polyester resin'.
Compare the published data separately
GP Quartz Resin publishes 400-800 cPs viscosity, 7-10 minute gel time and a non-accelerated system. GP Clear Resin has its own published product data and TDS. Each value belongs to a specific grade and must be read in that product's technical context.
Do not treat a comparison page as a process instruction or use it to substitute one product's cure setting, storage guidance or performance expectation for the other.
When GP Quartz Resin is the relevant route
Review GP Quartz Resin where the declared requirement is artificial quartz stone, engineered stone slabs or a composite mineral surface. Share the intended product, filler or mineral type, process if known, expected quantity, finish requirement and delivery location before a quotation discussion.
When GP Clear Resin is the relevant route
Review GP Clear Resin for its broader published general-purpose FRP applications.
