Identify the base resin before ordering
The key decision is the resin system under consideration. Samrat publishes Epoxy Hardener as a polyamide curing agent for compatible epoxy systems. It publishes MEKP Hardener separately for selected unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and gelcoat systems.
The word hardener should not override those distinct product roles. A buyer should identify the actual base resin product before asking for a hardener or catalyst.
Different routes, not a performance ranking
Neither product is presented here as a universal upgrade or substitute for the other. The appropriate selection follows the documented resin family, exact product route and intended application.
Review the specific product page and TDS rather than carrying technical values, operating instructions or expectations from the epoxy route into a polyester-family route, or vice versa.
A better enquiry
For an epoxy requirement, name the exact epoxy resin product, intended application and required documentation. For a polyester-family requirement, name the actual resin or gelcoat grade under review. In either case, include quantity, packaging needs and delivery location.
This guide intentionally omits ratios, catalyst dosing and curing directions. Those are not universal and should not be inferred from a comparison page.
