Begin with the component, not a broad resin name
Epoxy Art Resin and polyester resin may both be described broadly as resin, but this site publishes them for different product roles. Epoxy Art Resin is the water-clear, self-levelling route for artistic and decorative surface work; the Unsaturated Polyester Resin family is a separate route for published reinforced FRP applications.
The selection question is whether the requirement is an open decorative surface or a reinforced FRP component. Do not treat a shared word such as clear, gloss or resin as proof that systems are interchangeable.
Keep the product documents separate
Use the current Epoxy Art Resin TDS for the Art Resin route and the current product-specific TDS for the polyester product under review. Do not transfer technical values, curing assumptions, handling information or compatibility claims from one system to the other.
If a buyer is unsure whether a reinforcement, mould-side surface layer, decorative surface coat or contained cast is required, document that uncertainty in the enquiry and request product-role discussion first.
A focused comparison enquiry
Share the finished article, whether reinforcement is involved, surface or casting role, expected quantity, appearance requirement and delivery location. Add any drawing, purchase specification or existing material reference where available. This creates a reviewable question without implying a technical recommendation before the actual requirement is known.
