Use the current TDS as the controlling reference
GP Quartz Resin is published with a 400-800 cPs viscosity range, 7-10 minute gel time, non-accelerated curing system and approximate two-hour cure time. These values should be read together with the current GP Quartz Resin TDS and the actual engineered-stone or mineral-composite requirement.
They are not a substitute for approved manufacturing instructions, nor a basis for copying catalyst, accelerator or other settings from another resin grade.
Viscosity is a grade-specific discussion point
For a quartz-filled or mineral-filled composite requirement, the intended component, filler or mineral type, production process and required finish should be discussed alongside the published viscosity range. The number alone does not confirm a particular filler level, mixing result, wet-out behaviour or final product outcome.
Gel time is not a universal recipe
The published 7-10 minute gel time provides product-specific context for the technical conversation. Actual conditions, approved inputs and the product's specific TDS remain important. Do not change catalyst, accelerator or process inputs by guesswork to target a different timing.
Keep storage records with the material
The current product information publishes a three-month shelf life and 30-35 C storage temperature. Record the product, batch, receipt date, container condition and storage history. If a process discussion is needed, those facts are more useful than relying on a general assumption about polyester resin storage.
